Lady Gaga confirmed earlier today (December 19th), that she will be kicking off her new residency in Las Vegas late next year.
The “Million Reasons” pop star is set to begin her own two-year special engagement at MGM’s Park Theater, which holds a capability of 5300 seats, in the City of Sin on December of 2018.
The singer expressed her excitement to start the residency through social media, saying that it has always been a lifelong dream of hers. “Get ready for a brand new show!!,” she wrote on the announcement post. “It’s been my lifelong dream to be a Las Vegas girl, I’m so overjoyed!”
Talking about the big news in a new press release, the 31-year-old singer revealed that she feels honored to begin this phase of her career. “It’s the land of Elvis, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elton John, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli,” she explained. “I am humbled to be a part of a historical line-up of performers, and to have the honor of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before.”
“I’ll leave my heart on the stage every single night. Thank you to my fans for always believing in me. Meet me in Las Vegas baby, we did it!”
